Warning: this is a ReaderxZombie sort of fanfic, so freaky stuff WILL GO DOWN *A* this chapter contains material for a mentally older crowd. And I do mean this- Read with caution, or not at all please ^-^ I HAVE WARNED.

Enjoy~

You breathed in the air for a little longer looking out at the horizon; the sun hadn't even come up yet. You shivered feeling your bruised neck.

'He….sucked on it…' your head spun and you shook your head away from the blush.

This was just weird and creepy! NOTHING was good about the zombie other than the fact that he  didn't kill you.

You went down the hatch with an awaiting teammate holding the bags.

"I can hold a couple." You spoke reaching over to help.

He shook his head.

"You have to open the door- and I want you to grab two of the water jugs downstairs and help take them to the car. "

You thought for a moment.

"Won't… there be zombies?" you asked tightening your guns grip.

He nodded.

"I can carry three bags in one hand, you should carry this bag and my backpack then."

He handed you one of the lighter bags only filled with pills and first aid sorts of things and you grabbed his green and blue ninja-turtles bag.

"It was my little cousins." He spoke walking over to the door.

You held both your bags over your shoulders as well as a firm grip on the gun.

"They shouldn't be up until 5:30, we have fifteen minutes to get the hell out of here with the bags and everything we'll need."

You nodded as he kicked the pole off the door opening the small lock with his two fingers still holding the bags. He held the shotgun in one hand like a professional.

You didn't know how he'd be shooting the thing with one hand but figured he knew something about it otherwise he would be holding one of his pistols in his pocket.

You both nodded to each other as he went down the steps you following after.

When you got to the bottom he listened to the door before opening it quietly.

There was a zombie eating what little remains of the 'it' you scull crushed last night.

Before the male could even aim with his shotgun you already shot with your silencer through its neck.

"Nh-!" it slumped to the ground.

Robert looked to you smiling lightly.

"Good hit." He mumbled motioning you to the jugs.

You blinked lowering your guns.

"It was sort of.. reflex?" you mumbled smiling lightly.

You looked out the glass windows as you walked over to the two 2 feet water jugs.

"On second thought- just take one." He spoke holding his shot gun looking around.

"Why?" you mumbled grunting as you held it in your one free hand.

This thing was like what- the size of a child? You'd have to start working out in your spare time.

You were all skin and bones.

"We won't have to take two trips if we just take that- and I have enough water bottles in here to keep us safe from dehydration." he whispered before you swiftly nodded.

You both passed by the isle of the dead zombies and looked forward in a more serious manner.

"Ready?" he asked looking to you.

You saw him smiling confidently as you nodded smiling back slightly.

He kicked open the door as you both rushed out.

About 4 zombies were around the area.

You shot one down as it came running towards you and another came towards Robs back that you managed to shoot.

He got two running towards you both from far around the corner and you were both near the car as he cursed.

"Shit we need to pump the gas!" he hissed as you threw the luggage in the car pulling out your other gun.

"I can do it!" you yelled running back.

He gasped throwing the items behind your seats pulling out his pistol as he covered his front and your back the best he could.

"Number 5 _____!" he yelled as you went into the store.

You ran behind the counter looking at the controls and the number five in thick letters.

Pressing it you found that you needed to insert money.

You cursed hearing something behind you turning around.

Something was coming towards you bounding down the stairs.

"Crap!" you hissed finally just breaking open the register with the butt of your gun shoving money into the machine.

You placed 3 fifty dollar bills shakily into the gas machine pressing number 5 as you heard something grunt and smell the air.

You couldn't see it but it was in the room somewhere.

You heard Robert shooting outside- you had to hurry up and get out.

But it came at you already.

You yelped as it pounced on you.

"AAAAUGH!!!" it's screams were deafening as it pushed you down holding it's claws up to scratch you.

You held in your screams as you pointed to shoot your bullet into its shoulder.

It merely screamed smacking the guns out of the way and grabbed at your hair.

"Hunter-" you mumbled wincing.

You had learned this one specials name- because it was what was screamed on the news before it was cut off.

It ripped your head forward and it was doing the same thing the smoker did.

"What the FUCK!" you screamed trying to punch it out of your way.

It growled much louder than the Smoker ever did- it's hood shaking- with eyes that glowed a deep red.

It screamed in your hair again as it muffled it's face within it- bathing in your scent.

This was really REALLY fucking strange.

You waited patiently as it continued to pull and tug at your hair as it growled loudly every time you tried moving.

You could feel its sharp left hand digging easily through your sweatshirt as it gripped tight onto your jacket the other hand pulling your head back as it traveled down.

It kept snuffling it's nose all over your hair and then to your neck growling loudly as it seemed to notice the change in smell.

It bit the dark purple bruise on your neck and you screamed.

"_____?!" you heard Robert call in the distance as more gun shots were being fired.

It looked near the sound and growled again.

"Nnnnnnnh…" it's mouth went into a feral scowl near the doorway as it flinched back to you- this one had shaggy dark brown hair that needed to BADLY be cut.

The hunters skin was a pale gray as well- not as dark as the smokers though.

It licked hotly over your throat nipping the spot again as it's grip tightened on your hair.

"Ah-!" you gasped painfully as it scraped it's sharp bicuspids down the bruise lapping up the blood.

"Nnnngh…..nnn-mm…" if seemed to be trying to speak but the sound of a loud shattering noise surprised you both.

It snarled at Robert as he entered the shop quickly pouncing off of you up the stairs.

Robert hissed trying to shoot the thing but it got away.

You quickly got up fixing your appearance as best you could as he came around the counter pulling you up.

He held onto your hand pocketing one of your unused pistols from the ground tossing you the other as you ran out the store to the car.

"Tanks filled up lets get the hell out of here!" he spoke just as the rising sun was starting to come up.

You nodded breathing heavily as you shot another in the knee.

When you both jumped into the car he quickly started it swerving a little as he tried to get it to go from 0 to 70 at such a slow start up rate.

You winced feeling your neck where the Hunter had dragged it's teeth along before it licked it clean.

You blushed looking away.

You weren't sure whether to feel disgusted or relieved you were saved.

The car stalled a little before Robert drove the car out the parking lot- something compelled you to look back.

You wished you hadn't.

Standing on the roof was it.

Or HIM you should say.

The Smoker from last night stood there at the corner of the roof- it's tongue hanging out his mouth as he seemed to be looking straight at you with his bright yellow eyes.

The sun finally came up causing him to quickly move away jumping down the roof.

You let out a breath shivering.

"Woah- ______- you're bit." Robert mumbled looking at your neck you had turned back.

You touched your neck noticing it was bleeding a little.

"Oh- d-don't worry… I think I'm immune…" you spoke looking to him.

He wasn't thinking about kicking you out the car right?

He sighed relieved.

"That's good- I figured the only people who could have survived up until now had to be immune, you had a bruise and a slight cut on your neck from last night as well, you would've changed by now." He spoke smiling.

"I'm immune too if it makes you feel any better." He added focusing back to driving.

You breathed easy.

It did make you feel a hell of a lot better-

Save for the sight of that strange zombie..

"Hey Rob…?" you asked looking to him- now and then checking out the window.

"Mm?" he asked directing the car smoothly around a dead carcass.

"What kind of zombie… has long… tongues?" you asked blushing a little. Why the hell would you be blushing now? The thing was just weird- maybe they all were like that?

"Hn? Did you see one?" he asked eyes opening.

"That's called a Smoker… they're really dangerous." He looked forward sternly.

"Because they smell like cigarettes?" you asked recalling the scent still lightly on your clothes.

He cracked a slightly disappointed smile.

"That's not too much of a problem, but you know when one's near by the smell. That and they cough a lot. Plus if you shot one, it'd turn into a cloud of smoke too… They're usually a pale green but I've seen a pale gray one, they don't hunt in packs either- usually only see one once in a while … with THREE tongues….. why do you ask?" he glanced at you through the corner of his eyes.

You flinched looking away.

Good thing you were getting used to hiding a blush.

"I just… I think I saw one…" you mumbled looking out the car window.

He hm'd in his throat continuing to drive smoothly around the barren streets-

You were off to roam in your thoughts.

'Th-three tongues… I only felt… two…' you frowned huffing.

"Yeah- those things are really horrible- they choke survivors out and drag them to their bodies… they like to play with their food" he growled frowning.

You saw his anger- was the Smoker you met last night really that breed?

You shook your head.

"Wait- do you hear that?" you asked listening.

In the distance you could hear a faint cry.

"P-Please wait!" you heard the voice call.

It sounded young.

"Rob- I hear somebody!" you tugged his shirt shoulder.

"Hm? ….______- we need to g-" you shook your head.

"We need to help." you looked at him seriously.

He looked ahead before sighing parking the car where you heard the noise.

You shot a drawling zombie that was wondering across the street.

"Mnh!" it slumped down.

You grabbed your other pistol from his pocket reloading both.

Shooting another in the neck you slinked your backpack over your shoulder making sure you had the box of his and your bullet cartridges in your pockets.

The noise called again lightly- you looked up the large apartment building.

"Please- Up here- they're coming! 6th floor- 520b!" the small boy called.

Your teammate looked up squinting.

"He looks… familiar…" he blinked you and him both running into the building.

There were about 5 zombies in there- you were able to shoot 1 in the knees and the other in the neck again- that must have been your kill zone.

"Elevator or stairs?" you asked shooting two as he got the others.

He looked.

"Stairs- elevators might be broken." He yelled over the loud crack of the shotgun.

The shotgun really was a good gun- you didn't need to have good aim, and it shot at the very least two at a time.

You looked to your left and right back to him as you spotted the emergency fire escape- the door was ajar.

"We can go up there!" you shot another zombie- a female who had fallen when her legs were shot off.

You grimaced as she dragged her body towards you-

"Err…" you shivered shooting her square in the mouth. With a guttural noise her head thumped on the ground- the sound of constant slow shuffling became known.

"Come on!" you flinched looking to your friend- he was already heading to the stairway, closing every door he could find.

"They can't open doors!" he mentioned as you ran in closing the thick door behind you both.

There were a few dead bodies up the stairs and one he had to kick as it came screaming running down the stairs towards you two.

You yelped quietly shooting its head just in case as it lay immobile in front of you.

Your legs were tired. Looking up you saw that each stairway had the level number marked in big red letters.

You and him had just run up to number 3.

The sound of them banging on the level doors was traumatizing- but you had to save the boy- he was like you before this mess!

Grunting you and him both ran up the white stairs making sure to lock any doors from the inside that you could.

Level 4…

You legs were about to give out-

"My legs are on fire-!" you gasped following him.

"Mh-? This is nothing compared to the army!" your friend grinned sweating lightly as you passed another number.

Level 5…

You were getting anxious again- what if there was a lot of zombies on that floor? Would you two give up?

"Alright- Level 6 room 520b."

You were glad he remembered that- because with all this shooting and stomping you'd just about forgotten the room number.

He went to the door listening to it.

"Hm… there's some in there… but… their in other rooms I think." He listened just as you shot another dragging body down the stairs.

"No time like the present-!" he opened the door shooting the first thing he saw.

Most of the doors were closed save for about 3 that looked beaten open.

He shot two more as you watched behind the doors you passed.

517-

"520b! There-" you pointed your gun shooting at a strange groaning noise you heard behind you- good thing too.

It exploded in the empty room causing three zombies from other rooms to rush over to it- the walls were dyed sickly green.

"What the…?" You shot them down as they were surrounding the massacred zombies body easily.

"Boomer- good shot." he called reloading his gun.

You closed the door with a shiver going to the door he was at.

"Open up! It's us!" he called trying to shove it open.

You could hear shuffling on the inside and the boy muffled.

"O-okay just a minute!" he called fumbling with the door.

When he opened it you saw a boy- the whole left side of his face covered in blood.

It was a horrible sight.

"Ah-! Oh god are you alright?!" you sighed relieved hugging him.

"Geez lady I'm older than 12… I'm okay…" he mumbled letting out a small smile.

Robert was frozen.

He looked at the boy as you hugged him-

"Call me Kyosuke…." He hugged you back tentatively.

The boy had black straight hair- he looked to your raven haired friend as well smirking.

With a smile on his lips he made the "shhh…' motion as he pulled back.

"I'm so glad there's survivors!" you smiled wiping his cheek of blood.

The boy smiled happily looking to you.

"I was scared- you'll protect me won't you miss?" he frowned a little looking to you.

You couldn't help but noticed the automatic gun you saw in his hand.

"Mm- I'll help you." you nodded petting his head as you straightened up.

Robert had something to tell you-

But he couldn't- not in front of the kid…

You looked around hearing more zombies.

"Alright- we need to go." You mumbled to your teammates back into serious mode.

You led the way down the stairs as they followed.

"What's wrong mister?" the boy asked him.

Robert flinched running behind you a little ways as you all descended the stairs.

"I know who you are…" he spoke taking a glance at the boy.

You looked back smiling to the two males.

"You guys alright?" you asked maneuvering around one of the zombies you had defeated.

"No- nothing.." he shook his head looking down the stairs.

Maybe he could…

A gun pressed to his back as they ran.

"If you say a word I swear I'l-" the boys words were cut off when you tripped off the last step banging into the (luckily) closed last door.

"Ah-!" you yelped holding your body against the door.

"Ow…" you mumbled quickly pulling back.

There sounded to be a horde in the lobby.

"Crap…" you mumbled.

You felt a hand tug your jacket and turned around.

"Hn-"

"I can take care of this." He smiled holding up a pipe bomb.

You blinked.

"Is that…." You stepped aside as he pulled a lighter from his loose jacket lighting it.

"My dad had it before he… died. This'll get them." He grinned lightly lighting it.

It was a little strange the look in his eyes.

But when he set it off pressing the button to make it start loudly bleeping and threw it out the door closing it the sound of the multiple monsters all rushing towards the beeping object made you feel relieved.

"How did you-" the older males voice was cut off just as the boy opened the door when the bomb went off.

The explosion was moderately big and his eyes flashed with glee.

You didn't know who he was then… but you would sooner than later.

He was Kyosuke…

"The car-" you called pushing forward shooting a few strays.

Kyosuke the child monster…

(cookies for you if you've already seen him! Pic:  btooom.wikia.com/wiki/K%C5%8Ds… images.wikia.com/btooom/images… )

Being it was a two seater you simply just sat in pulling the smaller male into your lap.

"Let's move Robert!" you said as he buckled slamming his door shut starting the car.

The young boy had really good aim for his age- it was….

Impressive?

As the car drove, wind from Robs broken window filtered into the car- blowing your hair lightly.

Kyosuke was grinning happily as he shot a far away zombie down the street.

"Hah~ they're so disgusting!" he smiled leaning his head on your chest as he shot another unmentionable through the rolled down window.

The thing was two blocks away.

You watched out the door and shared a secret glance with your older teammate.

He gave you a tiny frown before looking forward hissing.

"Shit…" he swerved the car to a sideways.

You noticed it too- there was a large wall of piled cars in the way- the other direction was a dead end; he parked the car looking at you both.

You shot a zombie coming in through the side.

This mini city was barren…

"Why'd we stop?" the smaller asked.

You motioned to the wall of broken or crashed cars.

"….Should we… go around it?"

He sighed putting the car in reverse.

"Yea… but this is the only way I'm sure of to get to the marker…" he turned the war around and then you both noticed at the same time.

There was a large zombie down the street.

"W…what's that-"

"Rr-?" it seemed to hear you and turned.

This thing was massive- bigger than any steroid-overdosed body builder.

The cars wheels screeched as the beast screamed to high heavens charging towards the vehicle.

"TAAAAANK!!!"

You looked straight into the things eyes as he lurched the car forward straight towards it.

"W-What the hell are we doing?!" you looked frantically at the driver- Kyosuke staring at the large hulking beast with awe.

"I'm hitting the fucker!" he grit his teeth switching gears to four wheeled drive as you both played chicken with the charging mutation.

"H-HolyCr-!" you instinctively grabbed yours and his bags holding onto your guns and the boy in your lap.

"RRRRRRRAAAGGGH!!!" as it came closer your fear reached a new level of ins-

"FFFU-!"

BOOM!

The crash was almost deafening- you lurched forward your head almost pulling from your neck forward in whiplash.

"AUGH!!!!" it yelled hard as it hunched over- seeming to be connected and dented straight into the cars front.

You hadn't realized you had tensed up so bad until you were almost squeezing the boy hard enough to make him wince.

"…..is it d-"

It groaned shifting.

The car was stalling.

"Shit-! Get the bags and get out the car!"  Robert hissed grabbing two of the food bags along with his shotgun in the other hand.

You cursed giving Kyosuke the other backpack as he jumped out the car as well.

You had your bag on your shoulders as you held your two pistols in your hand following Robert as he shot at the monsters shoulder- the crack of that gun was always loud.

"BURN!!!!" your eyes widened as the boy threw what looked to be a vodka bottle with a cloth stuffed in the opening lit on fire.

The beast screamed as it exploded on impact- body engulfed in flames.

It was stuck in the car-

The car was burning-

"Fuck ______ let's go!"

You could hear the hiss and growls of more zombies from all over attracted to the loud noises and screams.

You ran down the street.

"W-Wait!" you looked back to see the boy trying to catch up.

You slowed for a moment slipping your gun into your pocket grabbing his hand to start following your other comrade.

The chase was frantic- you could hear them all behind you now- more coming from around the corner.

All that was left to go was-

"Into the alleyway!" you saw your friend round a corner down a dark alleyway and felt your heart lurch to such a dark place.

There could be things in there-

But he managed to find a garage that he jerked his body into as he saw it- as you three scrambled in he closed the metal door fiddling to pull the thin metal pole across it.

You threw your bag down looking for something to push in front of it- the garage was empty and slightly cramped- maybe 10 by 15ft?

"Help me push this-" he whispered to you as you saw it.

You must be in an unused storage room.

You saw the green large trash bin he was forcing to push and ran over helping him heave the heavy thing- what the hell was in this metal?!

You could still hear the faint screams of the tank from this far away- even in this solid cold brick building.

You sweated your sneakers squeaking against the concrete floor as you both managed to push it in front of the door.

"There… there….." he panted heavily.

You breathed heavily too- your cheeks red from the strain, lungs gasping for air.

"K-Kyosuke?" you looked around the room seeing the boy- he was moving all the items to the corner of the room.

"_-______.... don't… don't trus-"

But your friend couldn't whisper out the last part as the boy looked that way smiling to you.

"You waited for me…." his smile was so sweet it was almost creepy in a way… blood now on his face again as he looked to you walking over.

He grabbed your hand tugging you to the corner with food.

You panted following him to sit down against the gray stone wall.

The sound of the burning infected…. slowly subsided.

Robert caught his breath- eyes always on the boy.

"I'm so glad you saved me miss… my own mom wouldn't do that for me…" he looked sadly away still holding your hand as you sat next to him.

"O-Oh…. You're safe Kyosuke… don't worry…" you sighed heavily wiping the blood from his eyelid carefully.

Kids shouldn't have to be covered in blood.

"Mh… so how long do we stay here?" you asked looking to the leader.

"……." His gaze lingered on the boy for a little longer- before he put on a more composed face hoisting himself up from the green trash container.

"At least until all the noises stop... we should stay quiet for a while now…" he walked over sitting on the other side of you- closer than the other.

"We should count our ammo." He mumbled crossing his thick booted legs unzipping his ninja turtles bag.

"Ah… only about 30 more rounds…" he sighed setting his shotgun across his lap.

You checked your box of pistols- there was always plenty of pistol cartridges.

"77 pistol rounds." You spoke slipping a couple cartridges into your pockets.

It was a good thing you managed to snatch it into your bag from the previous owners- then you remembered.

"OH! I found some shotgun rounds at the convenience store-" you smiled proudly handing him the hand-sized box of shells.

"Hm?" he smiled lightly at the gesture taking the box counting quickly.

"45 rounds… thanks ____-" he ruffled your hair giving you a tired smile.

You smiled breathing a little lighter now- you thought about what to do- he unsnapped a water bottle taking a light swig passing it over.

"We have a lot of these- but let's pretend it's our last bottle…" he smiled as you took it taking a sip turning to your smaller member. He was resting his head peacefully on your shoulder- hands still intertwined firmly.

"Mh- thanks!" he ended up finishing the whole rest of it.

Robert pursed his lips taking the bottle.

"….Kyosuke I thought I said we need to spare water." He frowned taking the plastic bottle setting it aside.

It was pretty dark in there save for a sliver of light coming in from a small dusty vent in the corner.

It must've been at least 3pm now… it was more towards the colder seasons… the sun would be down in just a couple hours.

"Why? We have a whole bag there- it's not like we can't find water anywhere else." He mumbled leaning more heavily onto your side- he snuggled his head into your arm.

"You're so warm ______." He gave another one of those sweet smiles and you sighed lightly petting his head as he rested.

"______." You looked to your right.

You saw the look he was giving you.

The "don't-condone-this" look.

You started feeling like you and Robert were the parents and Kyosuke was the child.

"Maybe… he hasn't had anything since we found him… just this one time." You whispered reassuringly to him.

He looked into your eyes a little longer lingering down to the closed ones of Kyosuke.

"Mm… alright." He looked away beginning to load the water bottles in your bag- being it was bigger.

You never noticed this but he had an ammo belt around his waist- you should probably get one of those…

He filtered the shotgun shells into the pouch counting each as his fingers swiftly slipped them in before he filled his own gun with some- next came the pistols.

You looked ahead resting your head on the stone wall behind you.

You found the quiet noise of his reloading the bullet cartridges calming… he pulled the pistol you had in your pocket out with ease- you mumbling slightly shifting as he reloaded it for you slipping it into your lap.

"Other one?" he spoke softly not trying to wake up the other.

You handed him the gun you held in your hand passing it to the right to him.

"Thanks…" you shifted your head to turn to him smiling.

He looked so calm that way- sitting cross legged as he snapped the bullet pack in place.

He smiled lightly looking up to you.

"No problem…" you watched him breathing steadily taking your gun as he passed it.

He worded the words out to you and you almost had the sense to not notice it.

'Is he asleep…?" his mouth moved lightly nudging his head towards the kid.

You blinked before slowly turning your gaze to the small one.

You looked back to the black haired male mouthing a 'yes'

He looked back at you with a blank look in his eyes.

'He's dangerous.'

And that's all you saw him say.

You blinked resisting the urge to ask more but didn't want to disturb the one muffled in your arm.

Something was wrong with Kyosuke?

Did Robert know him somehow….?

Sure he was a little trigger happy, but you figured he was a kid who got a gun- he'd most likely be happy for being able to protect himself.

'How bad could he be…'

You'd never really met a kid that seemed bad enough that would cause a guy like Robert to be weary.

He let you join him too after all.

Maybe he was a problem child? Did he steal or something?

You didn't know a lot of things…

If only you watched T.V. the day they showed it-

~

You breathed deeply closing your eyes a bit as you felt your body growing tired as well.

The boy was a small tight comfort to you despite the danger sign tacked to him now.

You slipped your other gun into your lap grabbing onto the strong arm beside you.

"Sit closer" you whispered looking to him.

He stayed emotionless but none the less scooted closer until you could feel his hot skin brush against your jacket- it was reassuring to say the least.

He still held his shotgun in his right arm propped up just in case.

You set your hands back in your lap safely wrapping your hand into the metal clasps that were the triggers.

He seemed tired too.

You were tired but being noone established who was taking watch you stayed alert- a glance at his watch made you realize it was already 4pm.

Were you going to leave?

The sound of a light metal scraping noise made you turn your eyes to the sound.

"Food?" Robert held open a can of Sphagettio's, you took it smiling lightly.

It needed badly to be warmed up but it was food none the less- you pulled the can to your mouth pouring some of the red pasta into your mouth… it tasted wonderful.

He opened another can this one being plain peas and corn.

He tipped it up eating some himself.

You heard the male beneath you shift.

"Mm…" he groaned lightly rubbing his eyes.

"Can I have some?" he asked lightly looking up to you with sleepy eyes.

"Yea." You handed him the can already halfway done and felt more tired than before- but the food was welcoming.

You didn't mention it but you had snacked on a bag of chips when Robert took his shift last night- he must've as well.

You couldn't say you were full- far from it… but it didn't seem right to ask for more when there was only a bag of food left.

You watched head turned slightly towards the boy glancing at his eating- he was making a mess, slurping noisily as he licked his lips setting the can beside him.

"That was good…" he sighed happily leaning back on you.

You noticed he still had some sauce on the corner of his mouth before unconsciously swiping you finger against it licking your finger- you should've eaten a little more of that can…

He blinked looking to you- who had just cleaned his face in such a way.

"U-Uhmm… miss- do you like me?" he blushed lightly looking away nervously smiling.

You blinked smiling.

"I think you're cute." You chuckled grabbing the can handing it to the cautious male on your right.

Kyosuke would grow up to be a handsome man- you could tell, for now though he was a cute shota boy you took human comfort in. He made it easier not to become bitter about the whole situation- despite your friends cautions.

"O-oh…" he frowned a little disappointed at your comment.

"When you grow up you'll be even better." You encouraged squeezing his hand a little.

He blushed a little biting his lip looking away embarrassed.

"G-geez… I'm not that small of a kid…" he sounded a little annoyed but you knew he was pleased with your answer.

You didn't notice how when he saw you speaking with that older male he scowled so severely.

~

That fucking idiot better not tell her anything.

She's mine now… and nothing will change that…

She won't leave me-

Like mom did…

She said she'll protect me…

Her bloody face is pretty too.

~

"I don't know…should we stay another night here? We seem safe…" you mumbled looking to him.

He saw the way the small genius gripped onto your jacket arm trying to gain your attention.

The little brat was mental- he just didn't want to tell _____ it all unless he was sure…

Sure he'd do something horrible to her-

Like the last girls on the news…

Why hadn't _____ watched the news that day?

~

The night was even fuller with sounds- some you could decipher and others you shivered not knowing at all.

Robert listened quietly- but he was drifting off to sleep too.

You kept your eyes open, almost afraid to shut them.

There comes this natural instinct when you become a team- an undeniable instinct to protect if need be.

So you stayed up.

Seeming to be the only one conscious at this time- both males had their bodies lightly slumped to you.

You sighed quietly shuddering as the sound of another zombie crossed by the vent.

It was almost as if they were in the room with you all.

Your thoughts drifted back to the other night.

You knew you shouldn't have thought about it but you did.

It was a strange feeling- as if you'd never forget it.

'Who would…' you repressed a sad laugh blushing.

It was almost discerning how you thought of the Smoker- why had it done that to you?

Why hadn't it killed you…

'It only had two tongues…'

You heard a shift coming from the vent.

You could've sworn you heard a muffled cough.

Nnn… it was easy following them- easy.

Normal zombies don't dare mess with specials,

Heh- other than fat stubby Boomers.

"Hnn…." I held in what I recall being called a laugh.

Other zombies took no offense to those obese things.

I even popped one just for fun….

Oh but their green insides were horrible-

I remember at one time in my new life that I thought it's smell to be delicious- now it just smells like vomit.

Pure green, disgusting vomit.

Heightened smell isn't always a good thing…

But that other smell I detected- her smell… it's the one thing I'll always crave to breathe in.

Compared to Boomer insides it was heavenly- hn… if there was a heaven that is.

I grunted following them along the rooftops, stupid Hunter thought I couldn't smell him following near by.

Hunters are like dogs- rabid dogs even.

I think this one prides himself to be a wolf.

What an idiot.

But I do notice more intelligence in this one…

Was it because he discovered her as well?

I'm not sure- zombies weren't meant to think-

They were meant to lurch and feed

I ran my tongue along the blood of a fallen survivor-

Humans are stupid sometimes- they accidentally shoot their own teammates…

He was a man of his fourties at least… big build-

I had followed my girl into the apartment buildings from the outside, why she would go in there from the safe car was beyond my comprehension.

She always looked….

What's the word…?

Ah- terrified

Whenever she was shooting.

Under the furrowed brows of her determined face was always a lovely blanket of fear- it was in her eyes.

I loved those eyes.

In any case… I decided to get a quick snack while she was in the building- I ended up crawling into an empty room with the roof broken open.

There was the older towering man yelling (my snack) and a young boy with him.

He was as big as a gorilla.

The man lashed out at the boy- he was weak.

He punched him hard in the sensitive's laughing loudly.

"Nh."

It hurt to even think about being hit there- and I'm a zombie.

The boy staggers as the man goes about drinking again- vodka was it?

He sais something about useless and a few other profanities to the boy- staggering around the room. I heard something about calling him son- a relationship of some kind it seemed. He spat everywhere he stumbled on garbled words.

Amusing.

That was before he brought his attention back to the boy- yelling before kicking the child in the ribs.

Then he went off ignoring the child madly drinking the white liquid as the boy sat- hunched in the corner.

It was almost sickening.

I planned to just pull the fat ass into the broken room and choke him out- planning to just leave the kid for the others to find.

I noticed the look he was giving his 'father'.

I cracked a smile.

That was the look of hatred.

It made me want to laugh.

I looked at the surroundings of the trashed room- about to make my move, this dinner and a show was actually quite entertaining but I really felt like killing the oversized male to sate my hunger.

He was getting too loud.

He would attract other zombies.

But just before I even got the chance to open my mouth I heard the silenced gunshot.

Mm-

Hahah-

"I-…. I did it…-!"

Oh my- what a twist.

HE shot my food.

A whole half of his face was drenched in the crimson blood as he kneeled down to the opened ribcage of his father.

"Hahahah! I finally did it! You dumb piece of-!"

I'd rather not go into detail of what he said- but I'd rather go about HOW he acted.

I of coarse could hear the footsteps of my female running up the stairs a floor or two down..

He was less aware.

His face was so wide and happy- it was an excited look.

It was a crazed look.

Hell- his face looked like MINE when I caught my first victim.

He laughed loudly ramming his sneakered shoe into the laying body- it was almost magnificent really.

Ah he does look familiar now that I think about it.

Was he….

"Mm." no time- I slipped out the hole in the ceiling moving back up to the roof.

I listened as he heard the gunshots of his saviors.

He cursed lightly as I heard shuffling.

He was most likely trying to hide the body.

I heard the thunk of something being thrown.

The silencer of his automatic maybe?

Ah~ the sweet sound of my females voice.

She sounded so shocked to seem him covered in blood.

His fathers blood.

He was almost a pro at doing it- shot him right in the heart.

I figured that's dangerous for humans.

"Ah-! Oh god are you alright?!"

"Hnnn….."

Oh she sounded so appalled-

He was more than alright- he was ecstatic not a moment ago.

I wanted to laugh out loud,

This kid must've been a monster much longer before this-

He was a monster like me.

~

The dream Robert had was not something of a nicer kind.

"Ah-…" he grunted in his sleep furrowing his brows.

You looked away from the angelic sleeping boy looking to him.

He was frowning deeply in his slumber.

'I wonder what he's dreaming about…'

~

Headline news-

"A female body found dead in the park tonight. The victim was stabbed in the left eye straight through with a steak knife- nude and mutilated."

No…

He was dreaming of the day he saw the face.

The reporter went to the scene where the coroners were taking the body.

"Two other accounts of this were found- both women and found in the same condition, deaths usually coinciding with either death by knife or injury by blunt object."

He switched the channel grimacing- there his face was again.

"Kyosuke K*** (censored) is a young boy no older than 12 or 13- he was said by the neighborhood to be a child of heavy abuse from his alcoholic father, sources say he was a well known pickpocket after the escape and then turned to more darker things. Evidence of him murdering and mutilating the bodies of the three females are confirmed."

He shook his head changing the channel again.

Can't a guy just eat his Cheerios in peace?

Another show was on- it seemed to be a therapist of some sort. He had a thick accent of some kind.

"This curious boy is a genius at heart- this is why he was able to get away with the last two simply- his old life included strategy video gaming online and he was at best almost top 3rd in all the world!"

He set the remote down slowly.

This was interesting.

"Now of course your thinking- this boy is just really good at videogames yes? But no! This particular game is filled with multiple traps and setups- and to be top in the whole WORLD at such a young age would mean he is seriously in the upper level of human intelligence."

The screen turned to a women, a young blonde haired one.

"Kyosuke was a quiet kid in class- he always looked like he was bored, hardly did any of his work either… but there was a day I told them to write a descriptive story of their perfect day and.." the female frowned biting her lip before hesitating to answer.

"It was so well written- I- I've never read anything more descriptive and intellectual in all my days… but the contents were- far more graphic than a normal child his age could understand- …" she started shaking as the interviewer asked her to explain what the paper described.

She teared up.

"It was h-horrible- he talked of demolishing all his obstacles- of watching as the people who abandoned him… died slowly and painfully… like how he felt inside…" she whispered quietly.

"I… of coarse I contacted his father to talk to him about addressing Kyosuke a therapist of some sort-  I knew I shouldn't have contacted him in the first place after hearing how angry he was that Kyosuke was a concern- I just wanted to help him b…but….-!" she began crying harder before bursting into sobs.

"H-HE DIDN'T COME TO SCHOOL AFTER THAT!" she was wailing into her hands now- shaking all over.

"What if it was all my fault he ran away from home?! What if his father beat him so bad he thought he HAD to leave?!!!!"

Robert switched the channel- back to the crime investigation one, this time it was the trial.

"Kyosuke K*** is charged of 1st degree murder in three cases." The judge spoke.

The lawyer stood up taking the floor.

"We plea temporary insanity- this child is just a minor, there is no other explanation to how he would do the crimes that he did- look at him!" the older man gestured to the boy sitting in the convicted seat.

He was silent- and you couldn't see his face..

Robert strained his eyes.

"Is he…. smirking?!"

He caught the glimpse of a smirk before the camera turned back to the judge- skipping through all the other things.

"Order in the court!"

The jury began agreeing with the man.

He was just a child- beaten so hard into the life of a criminal-!

Robert shook his head.

"No….no.. he needs to be put away…" he whispered quietly watching the scene.

The tv turned to commercials and he quickly slipped the channel to the previous one.

"This boy is a genius trapped in a smaller childs body- he craves to have power but also craves the attention and care of someone, the power overturns this. The rage inside him overturned this. Being his own father figure is the abuser he has an uncanny weariness of all men- this is why his victims are all women. Therapy has PROVEN that mutilation is hardly ever an act of sexual gratification- but more one of pure power and domination. He needed a release he was not allowed to get with his father and silent mother- ah, what is this…? Oh yes I almost let it slip my mind- Kyosuke's young mother was also a victim of beating from the father. She was noted to have ran away abandoning her son and husband both several months earlier. This is also heavily connected to his need for protection- he has trust issues as he should. This child desperately needs more help from others around him- but not from any trusting normal human being… he is dangerous- and I truly doubt he can ever be changed."

It turned to commercials on this as well- he turned it back to the other.

"-Charged of 3 years parole with 2 strikes- 5 years of therapy as well."

'Mm… no….'

He felt his heart quicken and he thought of her…

'______ trusts him…..'

Now _______ is around this monster.

'N-No……' he felt his dream darkening to a deep dark red- surrounding and suffocating.

"Now your sleeping and she's alone with the monster…-'

~

His eyes wrenched open.

"Ah-!" his mouth was covered now- _______'s hand doing so.

"Shhh…. It's alright- just me." he hadn't realized he'd been hugging her so tightly through his dream.

She was being pressed against his broad chest- her head being held to his shoulder.

He blushed untensing his muscles.

"A-ah… sorry ______.... I-I had a horrible dream…" he whispered looking to her.

She nodded smiling tiredly.

Crap she had to keep watch this whole time…

She had a light blush on her cheeks as well as she pulled back turning her back to lean against the wall again.

"It's alright… I figured you were having one… so I let you."

Her eyes were drifting closed.

He looked at his watch.

11:34pm

"You can sleep now… I'll take watch." He smiled wiping his eyes.

He couldn't believe he grabbed her in his sleep like that.

Letting out a haggard breath he looked up at the bland ceiling shuddering.

He was glad she was still pressing against his shoulder- it made him feel more secure.

His thoughts turned to his dream again- that was more of a flashback.

He looked to her from the corner of his eyes.

'…?'

The boy was up as well- just barely…

And his mouth was in a small smile- resting his head on her shoulder softly.

Robert watched as those low lidded eyes looked up to her face… then traveled down… to her neck.

He stiffened watching as the boy smiled a little lighter this time- slowly shifting up so he could press his lips to her skin-

Biting lightly.

I’m sorry but is the shota character really necessary? Don’t get me wrong, the fanfic is good, but it could still do without the random Shota character. I know this was made in 2012, but still
